NIKKE deep dive: even the #1-rated game cracked this week

NIKKE gets the kindest scores on this list. Overall rating 4.7, #1 of nine; recent rating 4.02, also #1. The fanbase's affection shows in the numbers. Yet the same week, that recent rating fell −0.68 — among the three biggest drops.

Still #1 in rating — a beloved game

Start with absolute position. By overall rating, NIKKE clearly outruns the rest — a thick layer of players who stay because they like it.

Cumulative overall-rating rank. NIKKE stands alone at 4.7 — a high baseline of satisfaction.
Even from the highest point, it slipped a little this week.

The crack has no clear ‘culprit’

What's telling is the texture of the fall. Zenless had crashing (device), Epic Seven event · players (ops) — each with a clear cause. NIKKE's recent low-stars show no strong single-cause keyword — less an incident, more a gentle fatigue from a content lull between updates.

This kind of dip isn't dangerous. It's the type that returns naturally once the next big update fills the gap. It only looks large on the table because the game's rating is so high to begin with.

What happened next — it sat on the boundary

This piece was written from review ratings. Since then we have taken the Apple grossing charts once a week, five times, and NIKKE was never in the top 15 in Korea, the US or Japan. Then we started taking them daily in mid-September, and the picture shifted.

A separate record on a different cadence from the weekly readings. Three days cannot describe a trend.

In Japan it was inside the top 15 on all three days, reaching 3rd on September 18th. In Korea it appeared once on the same day, at 11th. Read the chart only on Mondays and days like that pass unseen.

What this adds is not a verdict on NIKKE but a point about how we measure. Absent from a weekly reading means “outside the top 15 on that weekday,” not “absent from the chart.” Three daily readings cannot describe a trend, so we do not say what lifted it to 3rd.

Zero across five weekly readings. 9th, 3rd and 8th in Japan across three daily ones.
Deep-dive verdict — NIKKE's −0.68 is a breather, not a crisis. Absolute satisfaction is still top-tier, and the cause is a gap, not an accident. For content, output timed to the next update works — an affectionate fanbase regroups fast when given a reason.
